Lexus has revealed prices for its new CT200h - and they're pretty punchy. The base CT200h clocks in at £23,485, rising to a startling £30,635 for the SE-L Premier. Lexus says it's the first sporty hybrid, but can the new CT really woo drivers out of their cheaper Audis and BMWs?
The CT200h is aimed squarely at the A3 and 1-series, but comes with just one drivetrain for now. The Lexus uses Prius hardware, so there's a 1.8-litre petrol mated to an electric motor to produce 134bhp - enough for the 1420kg CT200h to hit 62mph in 10.3sec.
In the 1990s and early 2000s one of the most charismatic, brave and forward-thinking car makers, Citroën, had been reduced to the maker of budget, mainstream Euro boxes such as the Saxo and Xsara. But it was at the 2002 Paris motor show that Citroën put a stake in the ground with its fabulously avantgarde Citroën C-Airdream concept.
Honda has shown its new Civic Tourer just ahead of its reveal at the Frankfurt motor show in September. Designed by Honda's European design studios, the Civic Tourer is expected to go on sale in Europe in early 2014. The Civic Tourer will be available with either the Earth Dreams 1.6 i-DTEC diesel engine or the 1.8 i-VTEC gas engine when arrives, along with a manual or automatic transmission.
